In his 'day job' Colin is also Chairman of Bombardier Transportation UK and Ireland. He is also President of the Light Rapid Transit Forum and has most recently been appointed Chair of the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derby and Derbyshire and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. He is also East Midlands Chair for The Prince’s Trust, and sits on the All-England council. He is Chairman of the Railway Industry Association and Member of the Board of the UK Rail Skills Academy.
In her 'day job' Michelle is a Director within Nelsons' Commerce and Technology Department. She joined Nelsons in 2004 following 5 years contracting experience with Alstom Transport covering projects across the whole of the UK. Michelle was involved in all aspects of the Transport business including supporting the manufacturing, renovation, service and parts supply functions, all aspects of the West Coast Mainline, Northern & Jubilee Line and Light Rail Projects. She also advised on regulatory matters including management of Depot Licences. She has particular expertise in rail industry agreements, regulation and funding but additionally specialises in business to business contracts for the supply and purchase of goods and services, engineering and major projects, licensing agreements, IT contracts, e-commerce, agency, distribution and franchising agreements.
