This is our first members meeting of the year. We are delighted to welcome Martin Frobisher from Network Rail. Martin is the Route Managing Director for the East Midlands. Martin's presentation will cover the East Midlands Route; past, present and future. He will look at the technology they used to have and then show the sort of technology that they are using today, for example in Network Rail's EMCC. He will finish by talking about the future plans for the East Midlands.
Our second speaker will be Fiona Tiley and Stephen Lord from Network Rail. Their presentation will explain the rail industry's investment plans for the Strategic Freight Network between 2014 and 2019, notably the Felixstowe-Nuneaton Phase 2 enhancement, which includes gauge enhancement between Syston and Stoke.
